Three different challenge locations – 2019 / 2021 / 2022
Three circular route choices for each challenge, the mix & match of circular routes & distances is up to you.
We will be awarding a certificate for attendance at each event and a cloth badge if you participate in all three events over the next three years.

This first challenge event was in the magnificent mountains, hills and stunning scenery of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park; with three circular routes that all started and finished at Clarence Hall in the centre of Crickhowell (GR 218 184)
Three Circles of Crickhowell / Tri Cylch o Crughywel – Overview

North | 5 miles | 2300 feet | 1480 feet | Route follows the Grwyne Fawr & Fechan before climbing up to Table Mountain & a view over Crickhowell. |
South | 9 miles | 1300 | 1150 feet | Route stretches along the Brecon/Monmouthshire canal, climbs to Llangattock Quarries & caves via the incline with a 30% gradient |
East | 17 miles | 3400 | 1955 feet | A circumnavigation of the Sugar loaf, a visit to the summit with 360° panorama, a riverside walk to return |
Total ascent for all 3 circles is 7000 feet. |
